Niranjan Mills launches new collection of Lycra-based fabrics

Niranjan Mills, a division of Piramal Spinning and Weaving Mills, has launched a winter collection of Lycra-based fabrics like cotton Lycra, cotton-polyester Lycra, viscose Lycra, viscose/nylon Lycra, cotton linen, viscose linen, etc. The company is now developing 60/60 finer count in Lycra fabrics.

Niranjan Mills is a pioneer in Lycra and manufactures the widest range of Lycra fabrics in India. The company has been spinning its own blended yarn by using high quality MCU-5 cotton and Lycra brand Spandex, directly imported from Dupont, Singapore. It manufactures value-added Lycra-based grey fabric for supplying to the RMG sector for export as well as the domestic market. According to Mr Hanuman Agarwal, CEO, Lycra is a stretchable fabric used in ladies wear, men’s shirts and children’s wear. It is ideal for casual wear. Lycra is also ideal for value-addition like print and embroidery, for which demand is increasing.

The company also manufactures fabrics for made-ups like satin, reversible satin strips, Swiss checks, etc the various textures include poplin, shirting, sheetings, drills, twills, Oxford satin as well as structured weave like cord, waffle, HB Twill, Diamond, Rib Stop, etc. The grey fabric manufactured by the company is available in widths ranging from 49”, 59”, 63”, 98” and 104”.

The company manufactures and sells cotton-Lycra yarn, viscose yarn and polyester Lycra yarn in various counts ranging from 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60.

The company’s manufacturing unit is located at Surat and has a capacity of 176 looms and 17000 spindles.
