Textiles ministry to seek 10% increase in import duty on silk yarn
Textiles minister, Mr Kashiram Rana said he would soon approach the finance ministry for increasing import duty on silk yarn from 30 to 40 per cent to contain the fall in domestic prices on account of an increase in imports.

ASSOCHAM seeks changes in labour laws
Criticising the report of the second National Labour Commission, ASSOCHAM has sought changes in the existing labour laws stating that the report had overlooked the realities of the competitive era through which the industry was passing.
