Issue
green card to exporters based on past experience: FIEO

The
Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) has demanded that
the Karnataka government issue ‘green card’ to exporters
based on their past performance for enabling them to get faster
clearance in government departments.
Responding
to issues raised by some companies, FIEO also strongly suggested
that exporters who have no adverse record of any undisputed tax
due should be given green channel facility as all the transactions
were in any case going to be checked at the time of yearly assessment.
It
also favoured giving pollution control certificate valid for ten
years to the garment industry instead of
the present system of yearly renewal, irrespective of the capital
investment.
