VJTI starts B.Tech. M.Tech courses in textiles

The textile manufactures department, VJTI, Mumbai, recently inaugurated the B.Tech and M.Tech courses in textiles. The department, alongwith the Textile Association (India), Mumbai unit, also organised a lecture on ‘Globalisation and the Indian Textile Industry’, by Dr H V S Murthy, professor and head of department of textile manufactures, and Mr Rushin H Vadhani of the same department.

VJTI was started in 1887, with two diploma courses, one in mechanical engineering and the other in textile technology.
