cellulose fibre technology leader, Lenzing AG, Austria, has very
successfully participated in the internationally renowned fabric
show Texworld which concluded in Paris on Feb 14.
This
was Lenzings third consecutive appearance at this important
textile trade fair. More than 500 companies from outside of Europe
participated in Texworld, of which 100 were from India alone, indicative
of the countrys major strength in textiles.
Lenzing
exhibited its collections from the Far East and India. Lenzing showcased
innovative fabrics produced by its customers. Stuti Exports, Lenzings
representative for India, exhibited Khadi Soft and Micro Modal silk
developed by Bangalore based companies. Say Mr Pradeep Roongta,
director, Stuti Exports, Khadi Soft is soft Khadi made from
Lenzing Modal. This is part of our ongoing efforts to create a new
market for khadi. Silk blended Lucknowi kurtas and Banarasi/Bangalore
sarees will also soon become a reality for the consumer thanks to
the successful blending of Micro Modal with silk.
Lenzing
also showcased its colour forecast and recommendations for Fall
Winter 2005. Arvind Mills participated with its knits which were
widely appreciated. The Lenzing stall also exhibited fabrics in
Modal and Lyocell from Ruby Mills which received good response.
