ICRIER for hastening tariff reforms
Economic policy think tank ICRIER has aid that India had the third highest customs duty rates after Cambodia and Pakistan amongst 122 nations and suggested that the government hasten tax reforms by lowering peak customs duties to ensure export competitiveness of domestic industry.

RMG traders to go on token strike on March 15
The readymade garment traders in the counry would go on a token strike on March 15 in protest against the decision to levy 10 per cent excise duty on the readymade garment industry.

GOM discusses proposed legislation on contract labour
A group of ministers (GOM) on labour reforms discussed issues relating to enactment of a proposed legislation on contract labour, which seeks increased responsibility of contractor and safety net for contractual labour.
