ROTC gears up for Phase II of Wool Development Programme
After a successful propaganda of the various central and state government development schemes in the first phase of the Wool Development Programmme, the Regional Office of the Textile Commissioner’s Office (ROTC) at Coimbatore is firming up for the second phase, comprising project proposal, approval and implementation.

10 industrial clusters to be developed this year: Mansingh
The Union government would develop 10 industrial clusters this year, including Tirupur, Panipat and Ludhiana, which have huge export potential, by involving various local bodies.

Govt for investments in Central, East European nations
The government has asked the industry to make long-term investments in the Central and East European nations especially in the prospective fields of textiles and garments, pharma and IT.

CIAE welcomes monetary and credit policy 03-04
The Confederation of Indian Apparel Exporters (CIAE) has welcomed the monetary and credit policy 2003-04, which it says is on the expected lines of the industry.
