BASF India FY-03 net up at Rs 33.35 crore

Basf India Ltd has posted a higher net profit at Rs 33.35 crore for the financial year ended March 31, 2003 as compared to Rs 28.25 crore in 2001-02.

The board has recommended a final dividend of 50 per cent for the year ended March 31, 2003. The total income for the reporting year rose to Rs 532.6 crore as compared to Rs 528.07 crore in FY-02. The net profit and total income for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2003 stood at Rs 5.7 crore (Rs 5.94 crore in Q4 of 2001-02) and Rs 114.17 crore (Rs 111.73 crore) respectively, it added.

Colour-Chem FY-03 net up at Rs 16.01 crore; Rs 6 dividend

Colour-Chem Ltd has posted a higher consolidated net profit at Rs 16.01 crore for the financial year March 31, 2003 compared to Rs 9.04 crore for 2001-02.

The board has recommended a Rs 6 dividend per share for the year 2002-03 (Rs 5 per share in 2001-02), the company said in a release here. The consolidated net sales grew to Rs 397.60 crore compared to Rs 340.56 crore in FY-02, the release said.

The introduction of new products, sustained efforts to reduce costs and improved efficiencies contributed to the better performance in 2002-03, it said. The net profit and sales for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2003 stood at Rs 2.07 crore (Rs 1.15 crore in Q4 of 2001-02) and Rs 94.26 crore (Rs 84.54 crore) respectively, it added. The export turnover registered 46 per cent growth at Rs 110 crore in 2002-03, it added.

Vanavil Dyes FY-03 net up 69% at Rs 2.28 crore

Vanavil Dyes and Chemicals Ltd has reported a 69 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 2.28 crore for the financial year ended March 31, 2003, compared to Rs 1.34 crore posted in the previous fiscal.

The board has recommended a 25 per cent dividend (20 per cent in FY-02) in the period under review, the company said. The net sales in FY-03 rose to Rs 50.48 crore (Rs 41.36 crore) while other income increased to Rs 5.24 crore (Rs 4.23 crore), it said. For the fourth quarter ended March, net profit was Rs 63.13 lakh (net loss of Rs 2.28 lakh) while net sales rose to Rs 12.21 crore (Rs 10.46 crore), it added.
