Super Fine shows mixed trend, Medium Coarse steady
During the week ended June 19, 2003, cotton prices showed an upward trend. In the Super Fine category, MECH-1 gained 85 points and Shankar-6 rose by 57 points.

AP govt proposes contract, corporate farming for silk
In a move to meet the challenges of WTO for internationally competitive silk and to stabilise the cocoon market, the Andhra Pradesh sericulture department has proposed to adopt contract and corporate farming model to cultivate better bivoltine cocoon production, which are in great demand in the overseas markets.

AP silk producers emulate Chinese model for rearing cocoons
