Pull up your socks but no need to hold your breath!

Lenpur fibre is here in India

E-Tex Staff - New Delhi

Volleyball players are smiling. After several hours of hard training, their feet are still dry, keeping an ideal temperature even during the most intense training. So, the skin is respected even in the most critical situations and well-being is ensured in moments of acute stress. And then, in the changing rooms: "it is great to use a towel that really dries, even after months, and stays soft".

The new product is called Lenpur, a super-absorbent, natural, soft fiber. The classic versions of socks in Lenpur, initially tested by FILA in Europe for the "Natural Series" are appreciated in USA in "made in Italy" products. Soon, from the Autumn, they will become even more familiar to the consumer, thanks to important brands in the sector. One detail: they neutralize agents that cause bad odor.... can we even call them "dream socks?".

One of the spinners that is promoting the fiber in Europe and USA is Filati Maclodio Spa (IT), while the fiber is also being launched in Japan and USA, and will soon have an important development in India concerning a project for the internal market. The Lenpur fiber is without a doubt a new instrument in the textile sector that is aimed at the well-being and comfort of the consumer. Today the request for a growing segment of buyers feels the need to wear a comfortable and high-performance garment.

There are many examples of different applications that were presented at the New York Yarn Fair from July 21-23: fabrics in light toweling for dream pajamas, fabrics for jackets in cotton and a low percentage of Lenpur to enjoy the naturalness of performances, and then jerseys, shirt and bedding fabrics, lingerie in filament, and then terry towels and again classic, sports, snowboard, ski, dram socks, underwear and home products. And again cashmere, that will be found soon in the Piacenza Cashmere 1733 collection, and linen blends to demonstrate the synergetic abilities of this Lenpur.

Marketing and research, managed by the world distributor Texinpro srl, are hinged on concepts that are simple but deeply anchored in the fiber that originated from a USA patent in 1999. Italian research laboratories, coordinated by Prof Nereo Chiarotto (the inventor of the first flame-proof fabric for Formula 1), are finalizing the scientific dossier on the fiber for getting a new generic name. KTD (Kirpal Trade Development), the Texinpro agent for the Indian territory, is taking care of the development in India, and is getting in touch with the leading spinning companies to introduce this high performance fiber, from the yarn to the final products in all its applications. There certainly is something new. It is obvious in these applications coming from Europe and falling on the USA like lots of little provocations for people who are fed up with cotton, but who do not want to give it up, and cannot see that with a little Lenpur dust the blend can become thrilling and surprising again.

For people who are directed towards the integral version of the new product, then, there is plenty of fun. This may well be the slogan for the future Indian distributor: Lenpur, the fiber for those who love working and smiling!

Texinpro is born

The brand new Texinpro srl, with head offices in Erbusco in the province of Brescia is fully operative. Texinpro srl is responsible in Europe for distributing and marketing the new cellulose Lenpur fibre and also extends its functions to other continents. The newly-created company plans to strengthen its web instruments to include managing relationships with distributors in the individual areas and to increasing service to distributor customers such as Filati Maclodio SpA in Italy.

New sectors are appearing with the introduction of new products such as continuous and tow yarns. These products will make it possible to open up to new markets and new applications that will strengthen the successes already obtained in the bedding, lingerie, straight knit and orthogonal weaving sectors, with important prospects in the male hosiery sector.

The technical sector, co-ordinated by Prof Chiarotto, supported by the CNR, is re-examining the fibre in preparation for the latest appointment at the European Commission for assessing the generic name of the new fibre that is relying on unique advantages such as self-mercerising, softness and great absorption.

In these new sectors, Texinpro srl will grant exclusive distributions with geographic criteria as for the cotton fibre.
