Coarse show rising trend
During the week ended September 4, 2003, cotton prices showed a
rising trend. In the Super Fine category, MECH-1 gained 28 points,
DCH-32 102 points and Shankar-6 28 points .
Ministry to set
up an export promotion council for jute
The Union textiles ministry has decided to set up an export promotion
council (EPC) on the lines of silk and apparel for jute to boost
exports of jute goods from the current level of Rs 900 crore.
