Romania becoming East Europe’s garment maker for the continent
Romania’s star appears to be rising as an exporter of competitively priced and reliably delivered garment consignments to the EU. Currently, Eastern Europe’s most go-go garment producer is recording exports there worth US$ 3.4 billion a year, with plenty of potential for further growth over the next few years, according to experts.

New cotton purchase rate to be announced
Assuring that the last installment of the amount to be paid to the farmers for previously purchased cotton will be done before Diwali, the Maharashtra chief minister Mr Sushilkumar Shinde said the government will declare the new purchase rate for the cotton in the coming season within a week.

It is high time that the domestic industry formulate a comprehensive strategy to face the future trade challenges. Producers require to prepare themselves for trade-related contingencies which if not attended properly, may eat into their market share.
