Express textile index numbers of market prices of raw cotton
Super Fine, Medium Coarse witness declines
During the week ended October 2, 2003, cotton prices witnessed
a downturn. In the Super Fine category, MECH-1 lost 224 points and Shankar-6
dropped by 140 points. In the Medium Coarse category, LRA-5166 fell by a whopping
421 points followed by SGJ-34 with a loss of 168 points and NHH-44 with 141
points.
