Ritu Beri to launch pret line collection in India

After her successful trip to Paris and some other major cities, fashion diva Ritu Beri has decided to enter the Indian retail market with the launch of her signature pret line collection in the country.

Beri, an alumnus of National Institute of Fashion Technology, has also announced the launch of the chain, ‘Ritu Beri Pret’, with over 100 retail outlets by August next across the country including six flagship stores in major metropolitan cities.

‘Ritu Beri Pret’ line will comprise of western wear with exquisite designs in trousers, skirts, jackets and shirts and the collection will initially be restricted to women’s wear. “Designer garments presently cater to a very niche audience. But there is a demand for quality fashionable, ready-to-wear garments at affordable prices,” Beri said after the launch of her exquisite pret line collection at a glittering function here recently.

Even as the International Textile Manufacturers Federation at its recent annual conference has recognised garment as the fastest growing commodity among all the manufactured items, the exports of the same from the country have shown a declining trend of late.
