Dianix PLUS from Dystar

Dystar has introduced the innovative new Dianix PLUS disperse dye range to ensure controlled coloration and right-first-time performance, thus enhancing dyehouse profitability and driving down unit production costs. Dianix PLUS dyes are designed to provide outstanding reliability on difficult polyester fabrics such as microfibres, weight-reduced polyester fabrics and taffeta. The benefits include excellent compatibility of dyeing behaviour, optimised level dyeing, insensitivity to variations in dyeing time, temperature and pH and state-of-the-art accuracy in standardising shade and strength.

The new dyes also ensure very good solid dyeing of fabrics made from polyester yarns of different denier. Since the shade is not affected by variations in dyebath pH, Dianix PLUS dyes can be applied with equal success in acid, neutral or mildly alkaline dyebaths; this allows the dyer to use a variety of innovative applications tailored to the needs of individual fabrics. DyStar’s Optidye P software calculates the optimum application profile for Dianix PLUS dyes on specific fabrics.

The Dianix PLUS range comprises seven dyes which cover a broad spectrum of medium to dark shades. For controlled coloration in pale shades, DyStar markets the successfully established Dianix AC-E range. All Dianix PLUS dyes have good all-round colour fastness properties and meet the requirements set by major ecology standards such as Oeko-Tex 100, while high exhaustion reduces effluent load.

As the leading textile dyes supplier, DyStar offers its customers high quality products, efficient application procedures and expert services to help them minimise costs and maximise quality. It uses controlled coloration and color confidence to characterise these benefits. Controlled coloration is targeted mainly at textile dyers and printers and highlights DyStar’s ability to help raise the speed and reliability of processes, ensure right-first-time dyeing and printing and reduce production costs. Color confidence is a broader concept covering the entire textile processing chain. It focuses on aspects such as colour fastness, consistency of shade and consumer safety.

New ISO standard 9000:2000 to enhance customer satisfaction worldwide
DyStar, the world’s leading textile dyes company, has had a uniform global quality management system that complies with ISO 9001 since 1997. Now it has introduced ISO 9000:2000 at all its sites. The switch to this new standard involved a number of fundamental changes: Instead of individual functions, in future entire company-wide processes will be certified. In this way, the company aims to achieve a further improvement in its business processes, expand customer service and raise customer satisfaction.

Dr Michael Kunze, head of Quality Management International at DyStar, explains, “The new ISO standard means we can identify and eliminate weaknesses in business processes more quickly.” For example, when a customer orders a dye, the order is handled by various different departments. If the customer is satisfied there is no problem. However, if the customer is not satisfied, the new system enables DyStar to follow up complaints more quickly to identify and eliminate errors.

He further states, “Quality management is not an end in itself. The aim of introducing the new standard is to help raise efficiency, performance and customer focus throughout the company.”
