Southward momentum continues, textile stocks hammered
Markets witnessed a further correction during the week as the Sensex fell further to lower levels touching 5593 during the week to recover again touching 6000 levels.

Butibori becomes India’s largest single location polyester plant in 2005
Indo Rama Synthetics (IRSL), India’s largest dedicated polyester manufacturer recently entered into an alliance with Zimmer AG, a leading German construction and engineering company, for their Rs 900 crore polyester expansion project in Butibori, Maharashtra.

WestPoint Stevens announces one plant conversion and four plant closings
WestPoint Stevens announced a further realignment of manufacturing capacity in which the Company will close DIXIE and DUNSON plants, LaGrange, Ga., FAIRFAX GREIGE PLANT, Valley, Ala., and COUSHATTA (La.) PLANT. LANIER PLANT, Valley will be converted to towel production.
