Expressing serious concern over appreciation of the rupee, the textiles
minister Mr Syed Shahnawaz Hussain said the prime minister and finance
minister had been apprised of the difficulty being faced by exporters.

MoC puts in place market access initiative scheme
The commerce ministry has put in place the market access initiative
(MAI) scheme, which will gradually replace the market development
assistance (MDA) scheme, over the next 2-3 years.
