eWarna and IBM link to delivery Color On-Demand web services.

eWarna, the leading provider of online color collaboration solutions for apparel and color critical industries, announced that it’s web services development team will link with IBM via an Advanced Business Partner members hip in IBM Partner World for Developers.

IBM aims to work with eWarna web services team to research new markets and opportunities faster at lower cost and, through the partnership, the online color collaboration market can look forward to proven software tools supported by a broader range of services”, said IBM Softare group country manager, Mr Hong Kok Cheong.

The two companies are forming the strategic alliance to jointly develop and market eWarna’s Color On-Demand, a new web services offering which will make use of IBM’s Websphere ‘middle ware’ platform. Designed for the new era, eWarna Color On-Demand allows supply chain solution developers across color critical industries to concentrate on adding value from their own perspective, whilst including state-of-the-art color collaboration features into their solutions easily and cost effectively. Precise color collaboration is a vital requirement if such solutions are to achieve their over riding goal of cutting lead times.

The color management software services ensure that customers will benefit from a powerful solution that promises to further improve productivity. The eWarna Color On-Demand solution was developed entirely on the Linux operating platform.

Express textile index numbers of market prices of raw cotton

Super Fine, Medium Coarse witness gains

During the week ended July 29, 2004, cotton prices in both the categories showed an uptrend. In the Super Fine category, MECH-1 rose by 197 points, MCU-5 by 140 points and Shankar-6 by 112 points. In the Medium Coarse variety, LRA-5166 gained 141 points, NHH-44 140 points and SGJ-34 85 points.
