Prem Sadhwani joins Lycra

Mr Prem Sadhwani has moved from Tencel to Lycra as manager, marketing communications, and will be reporting to Mr Satish Khurana, director, Invista operations in the Indian sub-continent.

Mr Sadhwani’s job profile at Invista is sales and marketing and would include building co-branding partnerships with retailers and brands, focusing on major events like Lycra MTV Style Awards and Lycra Images Fashion Awards. His immediate challenge would be to partner with apparel brands and retailers for in-store promotions, giving consumers the experience of Lycra. He is also expected to bring Lycra, Coolmax, Thermolite, Teflon, in a variety of apparel applications accessible to more consumers through leading Indian and international brands.

With a unique combination of his education in textile chemistry and management and marketing of textiles, Mr Sadhwani began his career with Arun & Co agents for Novo Nordisk before joining Tencel in 1997. With the opening of Tencel merchandising and marketing showroom and operations moving to Bangalore from Mumbai in 2000, he was promoted as the country manager, supporting South Asian region covering Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
