The Mewada high production card MK 108 has been completely redesigned to achieve:

Licker-in Zone

Licker-in is where fibres are first opened up into individual fibres. Greater licker-in surface with higher surface speed assists complete separation of trash from lint.

The new design of mote knives with combing segments allows maximum opening with minimum lint loss. The suction provided in this zone removes minute trash particles. The novel deflector plate separates trash from good lint without damaging the fibres.

All the parts are easily accessible for maintenance or change of settings. The new fixing arrangement allows precise settings with minimum time loss.

Fix Flat System - FFS

Fix Flat system improves productivity and quality. To reduce the load on cylinder wire and flat tops, pre carding Fix Flats systems - FFS are added before the material is taken up by cylinder and revolving flats.

Six (number) Fix Flats at the back with one suction and mote knives and Post-Carding Fix Flats system - FFS with four Fix Flats and two suction and mote knives is standard supply.

These Fix Flats can be adjusted individually very easily and exactly. The population of clothing on this Flat and also a number of Fix Flats at front and back is related to material processed.

Steel cylinder reinforced with plates - stress relieved, ground to micron accuracy and dynamically balanced for cylinder speed upto 600 rpm without vibrations.

The cylinder under casings are replaced with polished alloy Aluminium over plates coupled with suction hood ensuring minimum disturbance to air currents with following benefits:

• Under card/cylinder section always clean
• Easy processing of sticky cotton
• Equalising the air flow conditions on cylinder surface.

Steel fabricated Doffer ground to micron accuracy is also dynamically balanced. Doffer is also covered from underneath by alloy Aluminium polished cover plates to control air current and to maintain uniformity to material over doffer.
