Punjab approves Rs 355 crore apparel park at Ludhiana

PTI, Chandigarh

The Punjab government has approved a special package of incentives to Punjab Apparel Park Ltd, a special purpose vehicle that will develop an apparel park Doraha in Ludhiana district. The project would cover an area of 100 acres and cost Rs 355 crore. The SPV is a joint venture of Punjab Small Industries and Export Corporation (PSIEC) and Apparel Exporters Association of Ludhiana (APPEAL).

A spokesman of the Punjab government said here that the park would offer about 115 industrial plots of different configurations ranging between 625 sq yards to 10,000 sq yards with an average investment of Rs 2.75 crore per unit.
