Suessen Asia at ITME 2004

Suessen Asia has launched in 2004 the new BT 702 E Compact Spinning Machine in the Indian market. The BT 702 E is the only ring spinning machine worldwide, which has been designed for the perfect integration of the EliTe(r)Compact Spinning System. The EliTe(r)Compact Spinning System is extremely flexible, showing perfect compacting results for an extremely wide yarn count range from Ne 7 - 160

Suessen Asia is a 100% subsidiary of Spindelfabrik Suessen, Schurr, Stahlecker & Grill GmbH in Suessen, Germany. Rieter Machine Works, Winterthur, Switzerland, being a minority shareholder of Spindelfabrik Suessen, supports this business mission in India. Since 2001, under the new management, Suessen Asia has made progressive changes in work culture, manufacturing processes, quality assurance as well as in engineering and design capacity.

Suessen Asia has a wide sales and service network in India with the head office in Wing near Pune and branch offices in Coimbatore and Delhi. In 2004 Suessen Asia has launched in India the new Compact Spinning Machine BT 702 E for producing EliTe(r)Compact Yarn. Additionally Suessen Asia is assigned as selling agent for the BT rotor spinning machines of Rieter.

On show at ITME

Suessen Asia is participating at ITME 2004 and will exhibit in hall 1 on booth number C 3. The exhibits on the booth are:

  • New Compact Spinning Machine BT 702 E for producing EliTe(r)Compact Yarn
  • Spare parts and components for ring spinning
  • Model of the new semi-automatic rotor spinning machine BT 923 from Rieter

Highlight at ITME - new BT 702 E Compact Spinning Machine

Suessen Asia has launched in 2004 the new BT 702 E Compact Spinning Machine in the Indian market. The BT 702 E is the only ring spinning machine worldwide, which has been designed for the perfect integration of the EliTe(r)Compact Spinning System. This convincing concept makes the difference to EliTe(r)Conversions, where the unit has to be adapted to available space dimensions.

The BT 702 E is manufactured to CE-conformity and to highest quality standards. Suessen Asia offers today the most economical, reliable and flexible solution for the production of EliTe(r)Compact Yarns with the new BT 702 E machine. EliTe(r) - the proven Compact Spinning System: The market share for compact yarn is increasing in India, since its lower hairiness and higher strength is valued highly in weaving and knitting operations.

Another benefit for spinning mills is the option of using lower-grade material to achieve the same yarn quality when using the EliTe(r)Compact Spinning System. Over 750’000 spindles have been equipped with the EliTe(r)Compact Spinning System since the market introduction in 1999. The EliTe(r)Compact Spinning System is extremely flexible, showing perfect compacting results for an extremely wide yarn count range from Ne 7 - 160 and for short staple fibers such, as cotton, blends, linen and manmade fibers.

EliTe(r)Compact Yarn is well known and the brand is highly regarded across the market world wide.

Unique Features of BT 702 E

The BT 702 E comes along with a host of new features such as:

  • New machine design with optimum spinning geometry for a low spinning tension and highest productivity
  • Speed up to 25,000 rpm mechanically
  • Wide yarn count range from Ne 12- 160 with 70 mm gauge
  • EliTe(r)Compact Spinning System with the new encapsulated EliTop
  • EliVac system with 3 fans per section for an optimised air flow for compacting
  • The reliable HP Spinset Component, as HP top rollers, HP bottom rollers and the HP drafting unit, HP-S 68 spindles with the unique footstep bearing
  • Main motor with frequency control for stepless speed change
  • Direct dynamic balanced coupling with the main drive shaft
  • Tangential belt drive for 48 spindle section for lowest twist variation
  • Individual sectional weight balancing for the ring rail
  • Ring - ANBC - Lappet - rail lifting systems with steel guide rollers for smooth and friction-free guidance
  • State-of-the-art electronic PLC controls

Components for ring spinning from Suessen Asia

Suessen Asia offers components for ring spinning machines, which allow upgrading the performance of existing ring spinning machines. All these components have been developed in Germany and manufactured to strict quality standards and precision at the modern lines in the factory in Wing near Pune.

HP top rollers: The low friction bearings of the HP top rollers have a double seal bearing preventing dust and lint to enter and lubrication from leaking. The lubrication intervals are thus reduced to an absolute minimum and the drafting quality is significantly improved.

HP bottom rollers: The bottom rollers are produced with modern and patented manufacturing methods and the anti-friction bearings guarantee absolutely smooth running.

HP drafting unit: Top yarn quality results are ensured by the frictionless, constant pressure of the special plate spring inside the HP drafting unit. The variable anti-friction clips guarantee an adjustable, constant pressure on the fibre during drafting process. A partial pressure release avoids the deformation of cots after longer stops.

After Sales Service/Spare Parts

To ensure prompt service Suessen Asia has established regional offices, with highly experienced and qualified service engineers to support its customers. Suessen Asia offers “in-mill training” and technology support at customer’s premises by its experienced engineers. Suessen Asia keeps major spare parts on stock. Spare parts are available within short lead time.

Rotor Spinning Machine BT 904 for Rotona(r) Elastic Rotor Core Yarn from Rieter

The newest yarn innovation of Rieter is a new type of elastic rotor core yarn named Rotona(r). A model of the rotor spinning machine BT 904 for the production of Rotona(r) will be shown at India ITME 2004. Rotona(r) yarns can be spun in the range of Ne 5-30 in combination with elastic counts from 22-156 dtex. They offer numerous benefits in downstream processing due to the bobbin size of up to 4 kg. The yarn structure with untwisted core leads to maximum elasticity and recovery in the fabric. The production capacity is up to seven times higher compared to ring core yarn production and provides for a fast return on investment. The flexibility of the machine is increased with two independent side drives and the possibility to produce elastic Rotona(r) slub yarns.

New semi-automatic Rotor Spinning Machine BT 923 from Rieter

On display is a model of the new semi-automatic rotor spinning machine BT 923 with the new spin box C 120 and up to 320 spinning units. The newly designed C 120 spin box with a pitch of 230 mm has an airflow-system for rotors without holes. The new box design provides improved spinning stability and top yarn quality values with speeds up to 110’000 rpm. Top piecing quality is guaranteed with the semiautomatic AMIspin(r) piecing system and Qtop(r), which removes damaged fibres before piecing. The operating height is lowered and results in ergonomic and easy handling. The flexibility of the machine is increased with two independent side drives and two conveyor belts.

Edit
Strategy for jute
The recent approval by the Planning Commission to set up a jute technology mission on the lines of the cotton technology mission, though late, but an apt move. The effort once implemented will go a long way in rejuvenating the jute sector which has so far been not successful in drawing the attention of policy makers.
Apex handloom co-operatives of Kerala: How far and how behind?-III

We conducted a study on the consumer preference of Hantex/Hanveev showrooms from a panel of households during 2003 as an addendum to the Textiles Committee study on handlooms and powerlooms of Kerala. These households are the panel members of the regular survey of the Textiles Committee
