Trevira’s Trends in Living 2006

Trevira’s Trends in Living 2006 are about clear, bold and exotic colours alongwith dusty, pastel and muted tones. Fabrics are made to show their full potential, and designs focus on essentials, the use of patterns is very specific. Floral prints and filigree lines make for lightness, while stripes, ornaments and symbols give added expressions.

Longing for the spirit of Africa Colours

The earthy hues of this theme cover the whole spectrum from light to dark tones. Warm spice tones, especially orange and rust red, together with a dark brown, are keynote colours. Beige and cream white supply a calming note.

Fabrics

Coarse textures with a rustic effect recall materials found in nature. Linen and cotton-like structures lend character to the materials. One catches glimpses of interweaving and bast here as well.

Designs

Patterns with their origins in Africa set the tone, joining with ornaments that show Arabic influences. Yet the clarity of the forms has strong associations with the creative lines of the seventies.

Longing for Gustav

Colours

Yellows and golds have an elegant impact when combined with black and white, and then with shades of cream white, grey and beige. Subdued browns supply warmth.

Fabrics

Glossy jacquards and velour-like fabrics lend the theme a note of warmth and fullness. Qualities that recall satin, wild silk and damask give the fabrics a touch of elegance.

Designs

Ornaments and a wide range of motifs are the main elements here. Backgrounds tend towards restraint in their structures, which are smooth and even and thus allow scope for filigree motifs and decorative symbols to make their particular impact.

Longing for my childhood dreams

Colours

Lime green and a pale reed green determine the mood. Together with other powdery tones, they give an impression of dustiness. Transparent colours range from pink to yellow and orange. White makes a soft accent colour, increasing the sense of lightness.

Fabrics

The fabrics reinforce the lightness of colour. Seemingly weightless, the flowing qualities have a lightness that is shared by materials with the satin and tafetta look.

Designs

Floral motifs and print designs with the effect of water colours lend this theme its sweet-scented character. Fine graphic patterns in lines and checks round off the picture, without moving into the foreground.

Longing for Palm Beach

Colours

Clear fresh colours set the mood for this theme - led by bold greens. Turquoise and scarlet are important, as is a crisp yellow green. They are accompanied by red, pink and violet. All can be heightened into neon colours.

Fabrics

Film-like surfaces make for the technical look. Effects are strengthened to the point of being artificial. Materials display only slight textile structures and have a cool, clean impact.

Designs

Print designs play with graphic, clear motifs. Floral and organic forms are given abstract interpretation. Computer designs supply the additional technical note.
