Banswara to double trousering capacity

Banswara Syntex is planning to double its trousering capacity from 45,000 trousers per month. The expansion will be done with an investment of Rs 1.5 crore, and the capacities will be operational within the next three months.


Turtle to move into trousering

Kolkata-based, Turtle Ltd is planning to expand its shirt making capacity, and also move trouser manufacturing by July, and into accessories by 2006. The company will also expand its retail network. With these moves, the company expects turnover to go up to Rs 25 crore in 2005-06, from 18 crore in the current year.


Rajasthan Spg & Wvg to increase stake in Jaipur Polyspin

Rajasthan Spinning and Weaving Mills Ltd has made an open offer for a 20 per cent stake in Jaipur Polyspin Ltd, which has a spindle capacity 28,000 for dyed poly viscose yarn. This will increase the company’s stake to 80 per cent. The company is also on a Rs 180 crore modernisation and expansion drive.
