The Indian readymade garment (RMG) sector is moving towards value-added apparel, and corporate wear is one such segment which can command good margins. However, the Indian RMG exporters are still to gear up to move into this segment, which has immense market potential.

Meeting consumer expectations in garment business
Gone are the days when the consumer wanted garments to meet just his basic needs, or when he wanted to make such purchases only on some festive occasions or special occasions. The modern day consumer, particularly in large cities and abroad buy garments to satisfy his fashion needs which are not restricted to such specific occasions.

Generational analysis: Insight into consumer behaviours
This article focuses on comparing three generations - Generation X, the Baby Boomers, and the Silent Generation - with respect to how their attitudes toward apparel shopping have changed from a decade ago.
