Gear up for ITMA Asia 2005

With just over 4 months to go before the start of the 2nd Asian International Exhibition of Textile Machinery (ITMA Asia 2005) the action hots up.

The show's owner, CEMATEX, (the European Committee of Textile Machinery Manufacturers) has launched an enhanced version of its on-line Exhibitor Directory, ITMALive, (www.itmalive.com) which provides a valuable visitor guide for the show (to be held in Singapore from 17 to 21 October 2005). ITMALive was created for the ITMA 2003 show in Birmingham, UK, and since its launch has enjoyed huge success, with impressive visitor figures to date - over 9.4 million hits, 3.1 million requested page views and 240,000 visitors. Even 18 months after the show, the website has continued to receive an average of 5,500 unique visitors per month, and it has clearly established itself as an essential reference guide for the world's key textile buyers.

The latest version of ITMALive gives visitors instant access to all ITMA Asia 2005 exhibitor details (stand number, address, telephone, fax, email, website and product codes) and advanced search facilities enable them to trace companies by stand number, address, alphabetical and country listing. If visitors are looking for a particular product at the show, they can simply key in the product code or name and view a list of all relevant manufacturers. Many of the exhibitors have taken the opportunity to maximise their presence at the show by inserting more detailed information in ITMALive about their company and product range, including their latest press releases, so there is a wealth of information to be found.

For ITMA Asia 2005, a handy new 'Wishlist' has been added to ITMALive to enable visitors to highlight exhibitors of interest as they peruse the directory. This facility acts like a 'Shopping Basket', storing information which can then be printed out and taken to the show as a useful checklist. Later fully interactive Hall Plans will be included in ITMALive which will act not only as a floor plan, but will also enable visitors to highlight companies they wish to locate and print out a route map to use during the show.

ITMALive is also linked to and from the main ITMA Asia 2005 exhibition website (www.itmaasia.com) and includes a direct link to a pre-registration form which visitors can use to take advantage of an Early Bird discount of between 25% and 28% off the price of the on-site entrance ticket.

CEMATEX is also delighted to announce that the UK based publishing company World Textile Publications will be producing a daily show newspaper (Textile Daily News) on the first four days of the ITMA Asia 2005 show. An experienced team of reporters and photographers will be at work in Singapore from October 17-20, preparing and compiling stories for this unique publication which will be written on the spot, printed and published overnight, and made freely available the following day in the halls. Exhibitors and visitors will therefore have instant access to all the latest news on the industry, product launches and commercial orders.
