Rajasthan Spinning's Rs 400-crore home textile venture

In a move aimed at forward integrating its operations, Rajasthan Spinning and Weaving Mills will invest Rs 400 crore to establish a home textiles operation primarily for the export market. The terry towel manufacturing initiative will be implemented in two phases. The first phase would entail an investment of Rs 220 crore and would be operational by the end of 2007, while the second phase will require an investment of Rs 180 crore.


JJ Exporters plans EoU

JJ Exporters, the exporter of silk fabric and garments, which recently decided to amalgamate its two subsidiaries with itself for better synergy of operations, has planned expansion by setting up an export-oriented unit at Diamond Harbour near Calcutta and capacity enhancement of the silk garments facility of Pooja creations in Bangalore at a total investment of Rs 36 crore. It is also considering foray into the domestic segment for its garments business.
