New Projects

Visaka plans Rs 65-cr garment unit

Hyderabad-based Visaka Industries (VIL) is planning to set up a state-of-the-art garment unit in Chennai. The Rs 165-crore company will implement the project in two phases, involving a capital investment of Rs 65 crore. The first phase with 1000 machines will go on stream by end of this year, while the second phase with 250 machines will start production some time next year. The company also plans to put a weaving facility by the end of the year 2007.


Bombay Rayon's Rs 160-cr textile project

Bombay Rayon Fashion (BRFL) will put up a Rs 160 crore integrated textile and garment project at the Doddaballapur apparel park in Karnataka. The project which will go on stream by March 2006, will have the facilites of yarn dyeing, weaving 1 lakh per day of processing and production of 22000 pieces of garments. The flagship company of the Bombay Rayon Group, BRFL has been allocated 20.26 acres of land in the apparel park. The group has got a strong presence in fashion fabrics and garments.
