TAI office bearers

Mr C Bose, managing director, Silvassa Industries has been elected the president, and Mr Mahendra Tanna, managing director, CHT India, the vice president of the Textile Association (India), Mumbai unit, for the term 2005-07.

Mr Bose has been with the textile industry for over 28 years, and has also worked in DCM, JK Synthetics, Nirlon and Reliance Industries. He has on his records various patents on texturising and has also published a number of technical papers.

Mr Tanna has also been with the textile industry for over 25 years, and has been instrumental in bringing CHT to India. A qualified chemical technologist, he began his career as a printing technician with Khatua Mills. He later joined Baltex Engineering, and then Indian Gum Industries, before moving into CHT.
