Modern warping wonder from Rabatex

Creating a modern warping machine with indigenous knowhow has always been the dream of Vamatex Machinery (India). As an associate concern of Rabatex group of industries, Ahmedabad the expertise gained through decades have already been with them. The high tech sectional warper demand from Indian mills was catered by one or two suppliers from Europe. Servomatic Sectional Warper VM 108 was launched in ITME 2000 at Mumbai. The response was tremendous. The renowned Superfine Shirting and Denim manufacturers of Ahmedabad i.e. Ashima and Arvind who were the first to provide the opportunity by installing the new model.

Arvind Mill was already having Vamatex Machinery (India)’s Model VM 107 apart from a number of imported warpers. Soon after the first installations 6 more machines of MODEL VM 108 were subsequently added. Vamatex Machinery (India) consider it not only as an appreciation for indigenous technological knowhow but as an inspiration. There are a number of similar goodwill gestures from other clients too. The model now enjoys maximum market share attributed mainly by the most reputed textile houses of this country.

Warping process made enjoyable

Now with VM 108 Servomatic the whole process of warping is made an enjoyable experience. It ensures optimum warp build up on the drum. The operator friendly machine substantially eliminate warp beam related problems at weaving stage. Suitable to process yarns of all known materials such as coarser to super fine cotton, wool, silk, fine filament, natural and artsilk, staple fibers, viscose, textured etc ensuring uniform cylindrical yarn build up. The success story of VM 108 Servomatic begins with superfine single cotton dyed yarn used by shirting manufacturers of premium quality and followed by its almost complete adoption by natural silk industry based in Bangalore. Prior to that these segments were solely depending on imported warpers. Now when more textile groups have started opting for VM 108 Servomatic, it is a clear indication that there is no doubt being raised by any section about its viability as a reliable high tech warper.

All these decades Rabatex group have been building warping machines studying and caring warping methods and process adopted in different parts of the country which has a long tradition of weaving world’s finest fabric since time immemorial.

Increased production

Compared to other conventional warping machines the VM 108 Servomatic is capable of giving optimum production at its maximum speed of 800 mtrs./per minute simultaneously maintaining warp quality.

This speed is devised looking to the present conditions and actual need of the hour.

For attaining optimum level of warp quality relevant extra accessories viz. static eliminator bars, waxing devices, beam pressing devices etc are provided.

Unique features

The VM-108, efficient as it is rugged, is based on the updated technology baced by decades of experience. The warping headstock and beaming are combined, while the leasing device will be separate.

Leasing device normally remain stationary.

Beaming unit heavy duty which enable the components to be made extremely robust with minimum space. This consist of heavy solid steel end frames , connected by strong traverse members. The weaver has the options of going either for integrated or separate beaming in accordance with his product mix.

The model has now become an accepted and time proven product. Since its inception Rabatex has been updating it.

Features

  • Advanced programmable micro controller for innovative operations & observations
  • Colour graphics operator access unit offer many varying degrees of easy & soft data entry
  • Symbolic representation of machine operation status
  • Optimising entire warping process sequence control
  • Machine test mode for ideal solution of shop floor
  • Automatic textile process data calculations & no. of sections, section width, no of ends in section
  • Section wise broken end list
  • Registered broken end list
  • Option for section wise variable ends - section width
  • Freely definable preset length, 1st lease length, 2nd lease length, cut length, machine speed, crawl speed length, thread tension
  • World class compact variable frequency digital A.C. drive results in substantial saving in power consumption
  • Intelligent compact and powerful multi servo drive for advanced sequential control.
  • Smart Sensor identifies every point in a movement through a unique signal
  • Warp protocol printer for print out of current status, process data, broken end list, data, time also efficiency and beaming operation
  • Online connectivity (optional) for on-the-spot study and rectification of faults and production bottlenecks by service engineers directing from central service station.

The market for high tech sectional wapers is experiencing significant growth. This shows the increasing awareness of weaving industry emphasising more on better prepared warp beams for achieving optimum results at weaving stage. The new breed of weaving machines demand sophistication similar to them in warp beams also.

Advantages

  • Colour monitoring screen having a large display area calculation of optional number of strips
  • Broken & lost end can be memorised (by push button) so that machine stops automatically when broken end position during beaming operation concept for short time diagnosis of electrical & mechanical hardware on monitor to trouble shoot the problem avoiding high skilled staff
  • Exact machine traverse to maintain constant lateral angle between the centre of the cone creel & feed roller which will be in proportional to traverse speed in order to avoid section to section tension variation
  • Speed selection option either from monitor (auto mode) or desk board (manual mode)
  • High accuracy PID simulation for constant winding speed through out the length
  • Mechanical engineering tolerance can be modified through software flexibility on site without attaching any extra hardware
  • Qualty monitoring sensor system to show the non-functioning of any sensors
  • Illuminated indication or flashing indication for every next operation to be carry out or current situation of the machine
  • Machine trial mode ensures a storage of current data during maintenance or observation when partial operation of warping is completed and machine can be restart from where they have left without any loss of data battery back up for current data storage when power failure
  • Automatic movement & positioning of the carrier
  • Lease length meter stop (the machine stops for insertion of lease bands. Before it stops machine operate in crawl speed which ensures a operator no longer has to watch the lease length preset warp length stop with crawl speed selection before warp length meter cut length stop (the machine stops for making a cut mark). Before it stops machine operate in crawl speed. Which ensures a operator no longer has to watch the cut length, at every interval of cut length above operation repeats). Continuous monitoring of exact & accurate monitoring of warping/beaming speed mtr/min as well as warp length meters.
  • Memory of last set of input data
  • Symbolic representation of faults & machine status on latest screen monitor
  • User friendly system to avoid highly skilled operator
  • Reverse counting & display facility when machine is rotated in reverse direction
  • Section start positioning - Hole knot position by push button)
  • Onscreen help menu to help operator
  • Traverse unit speed accuracy in microns
  • Display of trouble shooting chart onscreen to detect fault & rectify the same
  • Computer compatible for software modification
  • Easy to operate due to next operation instructions onscreen
  • Interlocked with all the safety hazards
  • Safety alarm indication

After sales service

The company has a nationwide service system envisaged to render prompt service with streamlined spares supply. The service centres are based in almost all weaving centers like Bhilwara, Mumbai, Panipat, Coimbatore, Surat, Ahmedabad, Bhiwandi, Tarapur.

R & D

Since introduction of Model VM 1 08 Servomatic the machine has undergone notable improvements so as to make it more user friendly and achieve wider acceptability.

Apart from continuous and strenuous efforts of R&D team the suggestions and guidance of the technocrats of users in making the model a perfect and time proven machine are also appreciated.
