Mahavir Spinning has chalked out a major plan to
invest Rs 1,000 crore in setting up a new capacity in Madhya Pradesh as
also modernising its existing facilities in spinning as also weaving.
The project is expected to be implemented in the next three-five years.
With the merger of fabric business of Vardhman, the company has now changed
its focus towards value-added fabrics from cotton yarn. Moreover, the
export market for yarn has stagnated over the years.

Provogue India has said it is planning to foray
into the business of providing mall management services. The company may
also invest in the upcoming mall properties as and when the opportunity
arises on case to case basis, the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.
