New Appointments
TMMA office bearers
Mr R S Bachkaniwala, director, Himson Textile Engineering
Industries, Surat has been elected chairman of the Textile Machinery Manufacturers’
Association (TMMA), and Mr Shridhar Varadaraj, managing director, Premier
Evolvics, Coimbatore is the vice-chairman, alongwith Mr Anuj Bhagwati,
director, ATE Industries, for the year 2005-06. Mr Bachkaniwala has been associated
with TMMA for the last 17 years as executive council member.
Mr Varadaraj is also a member of the Development Council for
Textile Machinery Industry, and is connected with the CII activities.
Mr Bhagwati is on the sub-committee of research and development
set up by the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai, to oversee the progress
in establishment of textile machinery R&D centre, and the academic activities
leading to post-graduation in textile engineering.

ITAMMA office bearers
Mr Prashant R Gandhi of Samruddhi Engg, Ahmedabad has
been elected president of the association during ITAMMA’s AGM recently.
Mr Ketan Sanghvi of Laxmi Textile Stores is the first
vice-president, and Mr S G Vaidya of Vaidya & Associates Textile Consultants
is the second vice president.

CITI office bearers
Mr Hiren Shah, managing director, The Ruby Mills has
been elected chairman of the Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI),
and Mr Shekhar Agarwal, group vice chairman of LNJ Bhilwara Group, is
the vice chairman of CITI, alongwith Mr P D Patodia, vice chairman and
managing director of Prime Textiles.
